We are pleased that the prestigeous 2026 Golden grouse competition will be held at the Thimbleby Shooting Ground on Monday 8 June 2026.

This year will be bigger than ever with the Golden Grouse competition, open to Grouse Keepers, Supporters, Ladies, Side by Side, Veteran, and Junior classes. The price of is £55 per entry and includes a burger and a drink.  All competitors must be NGO members.

The Golden Grouse Competition will comprise of 100 bird sporting layout, fibre wad and a maximum of 28g cartridges only.

In addition, there will also be a 100 bird inter-estate 4-man flush sponsored by Davis and Bowring - more details to follow.

There will also be a pool shoot (payable on the day), all with great prizes. 

Registration opens at 9.30am with the last entry at 12.30pm
