Competition: Opportunity for eight young shots to win a day shooting in Dorset

The National Gamekeepers’ Organisation are delighted to be able share some exciting news for our younger shots. Thanks to Chalk Pit Sporting we are able to offer some lucky under-18s the chance to shoot driven game for the day, in Dorset.   

Chalk Pit Sporting have very kindly offered us a number of pegs on a shoot on 15^th October, and we have decided to raffle 8 of these pegs to young shooters who might not otherwise get the chance to enjoy a day like this. In addition, Greenfield Guns from Salisbury are providing all cartridges for the day, and Browning will be providing guns if needed. 

Entrants are invited to apply to be included in the draw by emailing info@nationalgamekeepers.org.uk, using the subject line ‘Chalk Pit Shoot – Tina Brough’. The draw will take place on Wednesday 31^st August, so be sure to enter before midnight on 30^thAugust.   

Based in the heart of Dorset’s chalk valleys and breath-taking countryside, Chalkpit Sporting is offering the opportunity for youngsters to come experience a shoot day starting with two simulated drives followed by a break and then two driven game drives. To finish the day, the winners will have a chance to process, prepare and then cook what’s been shot, meaning that they can experience the full circle from field to fork.  

Goody bags and hats will also be included in the prize, provided by Browning.  

We would love for less experienced young shots to be able to make the most of this day, so we would urge those who are regular shooters to perhaps allow others to have a chance to win this prize.   

Minders will be in attendance and instructors will be on hand, ensuring everything is carried out in the safest possible manner.   

Entrants must be available to attend on the 15^th October with a responsible adult who is over the age of 21. The shoot will be filmed by TGS Proofhouse and promoted on NGO and Proofhouse social media platforms as well as in the print media. We would also like to thank Browning for the extra funding, without which the day would not be possible.
