The winner of the Browning / National Gamekeepers' Organisation Prize Draw for a 12-bore Browning B725 Hunter Premium shotgun, worth more than £2000, was Robert Hunt from Northumberland.
Mr Hunt, who helps run a small local pheasant-shooting syndicate, is a long-time supporter member of the NGO.
The 12-bore Browning B725 comes with oil-finished wood, Back Bore Vector Pro barrels, Invector DS chokes (cylinder, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 &, full) and weighs 3.3kg.
Robert Hunt, who had the winning ticket for the Browning B725 Hunter Premium shotgun, said: “I am absolutely over the moon. It’s a first for me: I have never won anything like this before. What’s more, it’s a lovely gun and I want to thank Browning and the NGO for running the draw. I can assure them both that the Browning B725 Hunter Premium shotgun will be put to very good use on the small pheasant syndicate I help manage. I’m certainly glad I always buy the book of prize draw tickets that come with NGO members’ magazine.”
David Stapley, UK Country Manager of Browning International, said: "I’d like to send the very best of congratulations to the winner. I know Mr Hunt will get a lot of pleasure from using the Browning B725 Hunter Premium on his shoot. Browning is a proud sponsor of the NGO and delighted to support the important work of the NGO.”
Lindsay Waddell, the Chairman of the National Gamekeepers' Organisation, said: "I want to congratulate Robert Hunt on winning the Browning B725 Hunter Premium. He’s a lucky man. It’s a superb gun. I’d also like to thank Browning for its kindness in donating such a splendid prize for the draw, a major fundraiser for the NGO. I must also say a big ‘thank you’ to all those, NGO members and non-members alike, who bought tickets. It is greatly appreciated.”
The winning ticket was drawn at the NGO National Office by Lindsay Waddell, the Chairman of the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation, on 1 February 2016.
